DISABILITY SERVICES
The goal of Southeast Community College is to provide an optimal opportunity for success for students with disabilities without compromising the quality of instruction or the self-confidence of the learner.
Students with disability requiring accommodations must request such services through the Office of Admissions. Students with disabilities must provide documentation certifying their disabilities. A representative from the college will meet with the student to assess the need and to discuss access to accommodations. A college representative will act as the liaison between the student and the accommodation provider and act to facilitate such reasonable accommodations as may be required.
LIBRARY SERVICES
Southeast Community College maintains professionally-staffed libraries at its Cumberland, Middlesboro, and Whitesburg campuses. The Pineville and Harlan campuses lack full-time staff, set hour, and substantial collections at this time, but they do have computers which can be used to access a wealth of materials on line. All libraries offer access to Internet, public access catalogs, email, inter-library loan, and databases containing periodical articles and other on-line resources.
